Pastor Christopher S. DuBose was born July 5, 1968, in NY. He is the eldest son of the late Willie and Jannie DuBose. He lived in Brooklyn, New York, and matriculated through the New York City Public School System. He received his BA degree in history from Queens College and his Masters in Education from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. Pastor DuBose retired from his teaching position with the NYC Public School System after over 30 years of service. His exemplary leadership, sense of humor, and caring attitude made him quite effective in making an impact on the lives of the children. Pastor DuBose has served in various ministry offices. Under the leadership of the late Bishop Clarence Louis Sexton at Mt. Sinai Cathedral COGIC, Pastor DuBose served as a deacon, a youth leader, and an elder. He was a superintendent in the COGIC for many years. He also hosts "A Praying Man is a Dangerous Man Conference," which seeks to build men up to use their God-given authority in prayer.
Pastor DuBose and his family relocated to the Poconos, where he received the calling to begin the ministry "The Lord Is Exalted COGIC" in August 2000. For over 20 years, The Lord Is Exalted Church has been a lighthouse and a catalyst for positive change in the community. The church's motto is "Free To Worship - Saved To Serve". God desires to save the lost and to fill them with his precious Holy Ghost. The responsibility of modern-day disciples is to show the world the love of Jesus Christ by being willing to serve. Our vision includes:
* Food/Clothing Pantry Program
* Child Care Services
* Tutoring and GED Programs
*Transitional housing assistance
* Youth Programs (Rites of Passage, VBS, Summer youth activities)
* Single/ Married Couples Fellowships
For over 35 years, Pastor DuBose has been the husband to one wife, the love of his life, First Lady Shuantise P. DuBose. He is the father of their three children, Chris Jr., Alyssa, and Jayden. Above all else, Pastor DuBose wants to be known as someone whose life has been changed by the love of God. As a servant of God, he strives daily to change the lives of others with that same love.
First Lady Shuantise DuBose is a native New Yorker. She matriculated through the NYC Public School system, ultimately being inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and graduating magna cum laude with her BA in psychology. She received her MA in occupational therapy from New York University and immediately returned to work in the NYC public schools as an occupational therapist. Since then, she has provided services for children in New Jersey and PA with special needs.
Evang. DuBose is the devoted wife of Pastor Christopher DuBose, the Pastor of The Lord is Exalted Multipurpose Christian Center in PA. Together, they have three amazing children, Christopher, Alyssa, and Jayden, and their fur baby Millie. First Lady DuBose wears many hats in the ministry. She is an administrator, worship leader, teacher, evangelist, mentor, and the list goes on. Sis. DuBose loves young people and has worked with youth in the church for over 30 years.
First Lady DuBose accepted Christ at 15 and was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost shortly thereafter. She fell in love with and married Christopher DuBose at their home church of Mt. Sinai Cathedral COGIC. The DuBose family relocated to the Poconos, answering the calling upon their lives, which had been prophesied to them for many years. In August 2000, The Lord is Exalted Church was born, where the motto is "Free to Worship-Saved to Serve." It has been an honor and a joy to watch God work through this ministry, which has become a family and a place of refuge for so many.
First Lady is also the founder of PrayerWorks, an outgrowth of her passion for prayer and her desire to see women mended from broken spirits and delivered from all infirmities. PrayerWorks began in 2002 as a day of prayer but has since expanded to include conference and retreat formats, all for the glory of God and that His purpose will be fulfilled in the lives of all who attend.
"The Lord is Exalted Church " is where you can worship God freely, laugh loudly, sing boldly, and love deeply. All are welcome!" Lady Shuantise DuBose
